I am so sorry to hear of Vernon’s passing. I and my brother graduated from Stem High School with him in 1958. We have many fond memories of him. Love and sympathy to his entire family.
Vernon was a dear friend and distant relative. We graduated from Stem High School together in the class of 1958. He was a star athlete in Basketball and Baseball. We spent lots of time in his latter years talking about our youth and the work we did on the farm. He often expressed his love for daughter,Jennifer, son Scott, and his grandchildren. He will also be remembered for his college days at N. C . State where he played Baseball and was all conference for four straight years! Jennifer,Scott, and family you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and keep you and make his face shine upon you and may Vernon rest in peace.
Thanks Wayne for being there for my dad when he really needed a friend to talk to and lean on. He thought the world of you also.
