Elvira Frederick Dickerson

Elvira Frederick Dickerson, 86, of Moseley, VA, formerly of Oxford, NC passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at her home.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Earl Frederick and Lottie Eldora Smith Frederick. She was the widow of Leonard L. Dickerson Sr.

Ms. Dickerson attended Jank Road Baptist Church in Richmond, VA and graduated from the Oxford Orphanage High School.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oxford. Conducted by the Rev. Tim Atkinson. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Dickerson and Melisa Moody; three sons, Terry Dickerson, Gary F. Dickerson Sr., and Bruce W. Dickerson (Tanja); two brothers, Ted Frederick (Bobbie) and James Frederick; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Leonard L. Dickerson Jr.; and a grandson, Steven P. Dickerson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Corey Dickerson, Brandon Dickerson, Gary Dickerson Jr, Jason Dickerson, Michael Giles and Chad Frederick.
