Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hockaday Family during your time of loss. I have many fond memories of David growing up in southern Granville County: riding bicycles on dirt roads, singing in the choir at Brassfield Church, working in tobacco, swimming at Smith Creek, working at Tastee Freeze in Creedmoor, etc. etc. David was a “one-of-a-kind” friend, his word was his bond and he would give you the shirt off his back. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks ahead. Mike and Gail Turner

He was a very good person, and my thought and prayers are with the family
Sorry to hear of David’s passing. He was a fine man and I enjoyed being his pastor at Brass field. God bless you all.
To the hockaday family, so sorry to hear of Tracey s father passing. It will not be the same without her dad who owned m and h tires and treads company since it opened in 1979. He was so kind to all people who came in the door for car inspections, oil changes, old tires replaced with new set of tires and every thing else that customers might need work done on their cars. An icon who will be missed plus that warm friendly Smile that I will always remember. So my deepest upmost sympathy to all within the hockaday family. Rest In Peace, mr. hockaday.
Praying for comfort for you and all the family.David was a wonderful person to all the people he met.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Tracey and Terri,
I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
To the family, I am deeply saddened by the grief you are feeling.
Knowing of God’s love for you, continue to look to him when ” he will wipe out all tears from our eyes, death, suffering, and pain will be no more. ” – Revelation 21:3,4
He says death is an ” enemy that will be brought to nothing. ” – 1 Corinthians 15:26
How comforting to know that this will be a thing of the past and through Christ Jesus a resurrection for our loved ones.

I was sorry to hear of David Hockaday’s passing. Our deepest condolences to the entire Hockaday Family. I & my wife, and son Tim Jr., relied on M&H Tires many times for their services. I never went in the place, when David was there, that he wasn’t smiling. He treated everyone with respect and kindness… all his family working there did the same. We continue to pray for the Hockaday Family in their time of grief. Heaven has gained another angel!
