Myrtle Garrett Bean

Myrtle Garrett Bean, 85, a longtime resident of Creedmoor Passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Myrtle was born in Mecklenburg, VA to the late Charlie and Jullian Newton Garrett.  She was of the Baptist faith and retired from John Umstead Hospital after 32 years of service.  She was a devoted wife and mother, loving grandmother, sister and a loyal friend.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Eakes Funeral  Home in Creedmoor by Reverend Alvin Thomas.  Entombment will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her sons, Everett  Marshall  Bean, III (Cindy) of Stem, James Douglas Bean of Henderson, Richard Kenneth Bean (Cindy) of Kannapolis, Charles Steward Bean of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Kevin Bean of Louisburg, Roxanne Bean of Virginia, Megan Bean, Leslie Bean (Cody Williams) of Virginia, Charles Bean, Jr, Caroline Bean and Logan Bean of Creedmoor;  brothers, Charles Garrett (Elizabeth), Clint Garrett and Marvin Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Marshall Bean, Jr. and a sister, Laverene Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:45 PM Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at her home.
