So sorry to learn of Wayne’s passing. We were friends for many years during the glory days of tobacco farming. Always a gentleman with a quick wit , a sense of humor ,and would give you the shirt off his back if need be. This world would be much better off with more men like him. RIP Dr. Y.

In my brief time of personal ministry, to Wayne and Alice, I had the pleasure to listen to stories about farming, life, and the bonds of family. His contribution to his family and community stand as a reminder of the blessing that comes with being dedicated husband, father, and entrepreneur. On behalf of the Mountain Creek Baptist Church community we extend our deepest thoughts and prayers thankful that as the Lord has sown into Wayne’s life he now reaps the great reward of life eternal with Christ! – Rev. Joshua-Paul Johnian Sr.
