Nancy “Carol” Faucette Englebright

Nancy “Carol” Faucette Englebright, 77, of Oxford, NC passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at her home.

Carol was born on January 1, 1945 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Willie Alexander Faucette and Nannie Belle Riggan. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She adored her entire family and they adored her. Carol found so much joy and happiness in hosting family gatherings to include our annual cabin Christmas party, our family stew which was held in October, and most recently, her tomato and gravy supper for family and friends. She enjoyed reading scripture and watching television with her husband in the sunroom of their home. Carol sought peace and happiness by working in her garden and yard. While our hearts are broken, we know she is in heaven with her beloved son, David, and that brings us great comfort. She will always and forever be in our hearts.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-eight years, Robert “Tommy” Englebright, Jr.; two daughters, Catherine Currin (Todd) of Oxford and Jeanne Belyea (Joe) of Oxford; two grandchildren, Dana Cortright (Jeff) of Youngsville and Michael Hancock of Oxford; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Cortright and Evan Cortright; one sister, Sandra Reavis of Clarksville, VA; a niece, Megan Christopherson (Adam) of Gainesville, FL and many other loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving son, David Englebright.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12:30 – 1:45 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow at Eakes Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. It will be officiated by Reverend Cam Ford. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.

Flowers are kindly accepted.

Mrs Englebright was an absolute angel here on Earth. Even in some of the saddest moments of her life when David left us she always welcomed me with a giant hug and huge smile. It was a blessing for me to be able to visit her recently and get one of those amazing hugs. Although everyone here will miss her so much I know she is in Heaven smiling ear to ear hugging David ❤️ Many hugs and prayers to the family!

She will surely be missed on this road and in my life but I know she is in Heaven with David and her family and sharing her fabulous smiles and love with everyone. RIP sweet Carol!❤️

I grew up with Carol we lived on the same road and rode the same bus. We shared many laughs and much joy during thieve years. Putting in tobacco at her parents home and just sharing life together in those days. We always found something to laugh about. My heart goes out to Sandra and Carol’s family. I pray God will comfort you all as only He can during this difficult time. Fly high my friend.

I didn’t know about carols passing until I saw it in paper and was totally shocked. Carol and I went to Stovall school together for 12 years and just recently celebrated class reunions together She was one of my very best friend in school and I spent a lot of nights with her. My heart is broken for the loss of Carol. Our class was very close and I loved Carol like a sister. She popped in my mind one day this week and I had planned on calling her. My love and prayers go out to Robert and rest of family

To the family, I am sorry for the grief that you are feeling.
Knowing of God’s love for you, continue to look to him when he ” will wipe out all tears from our eyes, death and suffering will be no more ” Revelation 21:3,4
He says death is an ” enemy that will be brought to nothing ” 1 Corinthians 15:26
How comforting to know that these things will be a thing of the past and through Christ Jesus a resurrection for our loved ones.

    love
