My heart breaks for the family. I went to school with Battle and he was a wonderful guy. I’ve asked about him over the years and knew he had seen troubled times. I choose to remember Battle with a smile on my face and love in my heart for the man I remember. Luke, I send my love and prayers for Peace and Comfort to you and all the family during this time and the days ahead.

A fine fellow who befriended many. Though having troubles at times, like all of us, he always retained his big and gracious heart.
