Nancy Ann Pittman

Nancy Ann Pittman, 86, of Stem passed away Tuesday, March 8,2022 at her home.

Ann was born on December 6,1935 in Granville County to the late Jimmie and Pearl Jones. She grew up in Granville County and was a cosmetologist by trade. In 1979, she moved to Burlington with her husband where she volunteered at Alamance Regional Hospital. They moved back to Granville County in 2000 where she volunteered at Granville Medical Center for many years.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 11,2022 at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor David Richardson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of forty-four years, Freddie Pittman; two sons, Ricky Dixon (Peter Tocci) and Frederick Neil Pittman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Fogleman and Frances Matthews; one brother, Edward Jones and a daughter-in-law, Linda Pittman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 136 Roxboro Rd., Oxford, NC 27565.

    Freddie it hit me like a brick when Elaine told me. I’m sure you were hit even harder. Elaine and I will keep you in our prayers.

    We’re taking a friend to hospital for procedure down here Thursday and then it’s my turn Friday to get with doctors about an upcoming procedure I have.

    Elaine will call you. Stand tall and strong.

    Mark and I feel very lucky having Ann as our good friend and neighbor, Ann would always make us laugh with her funny personality, She held her Freddie and family very close to her heart and friends and also little Susie the puppy dog, You will always have a special place in our heart, Rest in peace, Love, Mark and Sherry

    Freddie, i am so sorry to hear of Ann’s passing. You have been in my prayers and will continue to be.. May God comfort during this difficult time. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the service because I do homecare and I have to work tomorrow morning. May God bless you .
