Myrtle Elaine Morris Bentley

Myrtle Elaine Morris Bentley, 74, a resident of Granville County passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at the home of her daughter.

She was born May 22, 1947 in Granville County to the late Roney Morris and Myrtle Lee Bowling Morris. She attended Freedom Life Church in Henderson and worked at Home Care Industries for over twenty-five years. Elaine loved her family dearly and was always the life of the party!

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at Meadowview Memorial Park by Reverend David Richardson. Visitation will be held at Eakes Funeral Home prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:30 PM.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Lisa Bentley (Michael Clayton) of Henderson, two grandsons, Christopher Yarborough, Cameron Clayton; a loving niece, Barbara Williams, nephew, John Larry Deal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Ray Bentley, Sr., a son, Nathan Ray Bentley, Jr.; sisters, Joyce Anne M. Deal, Gladys M. Smith, Marie M. Bowes and brothers, Melvin, Ronnie, Ray and Poole Morris.

Pallbearers for the service are Colbie Newton, Mike Clayton Sr., Michael Clayton Jr., Cameron Clayton, Christopher Hennings and Dwayne Hudson.

Flowers are kindly accepted.

    Elaine is my mother-in-law and I’m grateful for all she did for Ray and I. She loved her family greatly… she and Ray are together now and I know that they’re both at peace. I love you both and will miss you until we are together again. Please watch over me Ray..I love you.

    Lisa I’m sorry to read about your mother. I enjoyed listening to her and Polly talk when we were growing up. May peace and memories be with you during this time.
