Cecil Goodman Harris

Cecil Goodman Harris 84, of Butner passed away Monday, February 28th at his home.

Cecil was born in Granville County to the late Thomas Goodman Harris and Frances Veasey.
Cecil served in the National Guard for two years prior to working for Butner Public Safety for 30 years and retired as fire chief. Like his beloved brother David, he was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed his trips to Daytona Beach.

He is survived by Michael Harris (Madalyn) of Leland, NC, Aaron Harris (Whitney) of Kittrell, NC, Lyndsey Walker (Brien) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Linda Harris of Butner, NC. He is preceded in death by his brother David Harris of Butner, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor Wednesday, March 9th at 2 pm and will be officiated by Dr. Charlie Bryan. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:45- 1:45.
