James Stevens

James Stevens, 77, of Bullock passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Granville Medical Center.

James was born in Putnam County, New York to the late Homer and Dorothy O’dell Stevens. He was a butcher by trade, treasured by many. James was an outdoorsman who love taking care of the yard and garden. He loved to boat and fish. James was especially fond of John Deere Tractors. James enjoyed tinkering with everything, his family believed he could have fixed anything. James had a big heart, he loved his wife, children and grandchildren immensely.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 26,2022 at 2:00 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford officiated by Reverend Eric Larsen. You may access the memorial service by clicking on the following link:

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Linda Larsen Stevens; two daughters, Nancy Tracy (Sean) and Sharon Fraleigh (Chris); three sons, Scott Stevens (Cara Bunning and her daughter Ella), Dan Stevens (Carolyn Padilla) and David Stevens (Erika); nine grandchildren, Amanda, Cody, Jason, Rheann, Dylan, Molly, Jordyn, Sarah and Erin and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Greyson. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Chaleski, Gwen Henning and Linda Lou Lyon and a brother, Homer Stevens Jr.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 26,2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
