Maurice Daniel Howell, Jr.
Maurice Daniel Howell, Jr. 72, a resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
He was born 11/12/1949 in Granville County to the late Maurice Daniel Howell, Sr. and Virginia Herman Howell. He was a member of Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church. Danny was a long time employee of Kayser- Roth Corporation in Creedmoor and was a shoemaker and leather craftsman. He also was the number “one” driver for Oxford Car and Truck.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church by Reverend David Richardson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:45 AM at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Penny Rogers (Kenny) and grandson, Collin Alford of Franklinton; two brothers, Daryl Howell (Brenda), Kimmie Howell (Cynthia) of Granville County and loving nieces and nephews.
Flowers are kindly accepted of memorials may be made to Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church, 4044 Fairport Rd., Kittrell, NC 27544.

Hi Daryl and Kimmie. Just saw the obituary for your brother Danny and was so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him well even though it has been years since I’ve seen him or you guys. Many years have passed since the days of Wilton Elementary and South Granville High School and I hope with the exception of Danny’s passing you guys are doing well.
