Darlene Brogden Taylor

Darlene Brogden Taylor, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Granville County to the late Coleman and Eula Emory Brogden.  She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church and worked as a Supervisor for a Textile Company.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor by Pastor Mike Vaughan . Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:45 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
Surviving are her children, daughters, Donna Hockaday, Pam Garner (Randy), Jane Clarke (Steve) sons, Coleman Taylor (Trisha) and Todd Taylor;  grandchildren, Jason Hockaday (Stacy), Jeremy Hockaday (Stacy), Katie Wood (Justin), Julie Jackson (Austin), Stacey Hicks (Phillip), Zack Garner, Jamie Keith (Jimmie), Megan Taylor; eleven great-grandchildren, a brother, C.B. Brogden and a special family friend, Tony Green.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers, and a son–in-law Dennis Hockaday.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Native American Angels and Duke Hospice for their care and compassion for our Mother during her final days.

    Donna, Pam, Coleman and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Darlene was like a second mom to Angie and Gene when they were growing up. She was such a good person and loved you all so very much. My prayers are with you all.
