Paul Lambert Blackburn

Paul Lambert Blackburn, 77, of Stem passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home.

Lambert “Papa” was born in Sampson County to the late Curtis Blackburn and Sudie Lee Pope. He retired from Nello Teer where he ran an asphalt crew after many years of service. “Papa” was an avid NASCAR fan and loved riding his dune-buggy in the warmer weather.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham officiated by Pastor Wesley Holder.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Cathy Jo Blackburn of Reidsville, NC; two sons, David Blackburn (Cindy) of Stem and Paul Blackburn (Amy) of Creedmoor; six grandchildren, Michelle, Casey, Tori, Kayleigh, Taylor and Haylee; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Allene and one brother, Curtis. He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Carolyn Blackburn and a grandson, Michael Blackburn.

    Sorry for your loss lambert was a good man and he make and one laugh and smile when he come in the store when i was work he make me smile and laugh you will be miss alot
