Donald Wesley Faircloth

Donald Wesley Faircloth, 83, of Oxford passed away Thursday, October 7,2021 at Universal Healthcare.

Donald Was born in Bladen County to the late George Barney Faircloth and Mary Elizabeth Downing. He served in the Army National Guard and in the United States Air Force and retired as an Oxford Police Officer.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford. A private burial will be held in the Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Elizabethtown, NC.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Minnie Jackson Faircloth; two daughters, Kim Ketchum of Yazoo, MS and Lynnette Miller of Salisbury MD; two sisters, Ann Dowless of Hampton Roads, VA, Frances Watson of Durham; four grandchildren, Bryce Ketchum of Yazoo, MS, April Ketchum of Yazoo, MS, Josh Owens (Holly) of Salisbury, MD and Jennifer Hill (Robert) of Salisbury MD; three step-children, Wayne Jackson of Oxford, NC, Patsy Jackson of Oxford, NC and Larry Jackson of Henderson, NC; four step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Avaleen Ray and a brother, Claybourne Faircloth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 2509 E. Lyon Station Rd., Creedmoor, NC 27522 or to Kindred Hospice, 136 Roxboro Rd., Oxford, NC 27565.

    I had the pleasure meeting Donald when he was working for Oxford PD..You couldn’t have met a sweeter person. After he retired I ran into him a couple times. I know that the family have some beautiful memories that they shared with him. Sending my sincere condolences to the Faircloth family Earth had no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

    My Sympathy, Prayers, and Love are being sent to each family member. May ✝️GOD comfort each of you and heal your grief in due time. Mr. Faircloth was a kind, respectful, good-hearted, and thoughtful gentleman to my baby sister and me. We have only but good words to say and good memories of him. May ✝️GOD grant him into The Heavenly Kingdom of Unimaginable Peace, Love, & Joy, Forever. Be of good courage; for ✝️GOD’S Word Is True, Family. Mr. Faircloth lives! You shall see him again!
