May God be with Gerald and Thomas. You had a great dad. It was great for me to work with your dad for 13 years in Butner. We had a lot of good times and fun together. The best thing I knew about Jerry was his faith in the Lord. I can always remember when we were in the same office together he would come in with that big cigar in his mouth. God bless each one of you. Fred Bradsher

Even though I have not seen Jerry for many years, I want his family to know that he was always a super kind and polite person. He was easy to talk to and always, in my opinion, set an example for others to follow. I rejoice to know that he was a man of faith and for that I will look forward to seeing him again some day.

My condolences to the family. Jerry was an easy going great guy and really cared for everyone. He had no enemies and did not say anything bad about anyone. Being from about the same neck of the woods, he would always ask “Do you remember” and that’s all it took to bring back many memories. He was very soft spoken and had a heart of gold. RIP Jerry!!!!

Gerald and Thomas, I am so sorry for the loss of a great friend. I enjoyed a wonderful visit with him last week. He was always positive. His strength and faith was strong. I served with him many years in Butner. I have wonderful memories of lunches and laughs together. We will miss him now, but I know I will see him again as we spend forever with Jesus. I am so sorry I can’t be there to support you but I am in California performing a wedding. Please know that Lori and I will be praying for you and your family. I will miss my friend.

My prayers are with the family. Jerry was a blessing and a true friend. He always had a smile and a helping hand when needed. He loved his family and was very proud of Gerald and Thomas and all his grandchildren. He was a true Christian and his faith carried him through many trials in his life. He always put God first and was very devoted to his church. Gerald and Thomas know that I am here if there is anything I can do for either of you.

I was sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. We were in the same class at South Granville. He was a kind person and fun to talk to. Jerry could talk the horns off of a billy goat!
