James Ervin Faulkner “Pete”


James Ervin “Pete” Faulkner, 84, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Friday, September 3, 2021.

He was the son of the late Benjamin Eugene Faulkner and Alice Inscoe. Pete was a member of Creedmoor Baptist Church. He retired from Murdoch Center, after thirty years of service. He was also a Navy veteran. He may be best remembered by driving his 1967 Mustang and wearing a white tee shirt.

Graveside Funeral services will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Carolina Memorial Gardens by Reverend Dan Hill. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 946 W. Andrews Ave., Henderson NC 27536.

Surviving are his children Teresa “Terry” Faulkner and Curtis Faulkner, both of Creedmoor, a granddaughter, Courtney Faulkner of Creedmoor, a grandson, Kurt Faulkner of Creedmoor, three sisters, Barbara Estes of Stem, Hope Richard and Julia Rigsbee (Henry) of Creedmoor, and a brother Frank Faulkner of Oxford.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Tommy and Butch Faulkner and a special “Aunt Bessie”.

    We have loved you being our big brother for all of our lives . All of us brothers and sisters always stood by each other’s side and we could always depend on each other.
    Taking care of you over time has been an honor for all of us and we will miss you very much. We love you with all of our heart and soul and will see you on the other side with Pa and Aunt Bessie. Frank, Barbara, Hope Julia and Henry ( your niece Angie, nephew Gene, nephew Justin ( Hillary and Little Blake- who always loved coming to visit you)

    Even though I only Pete for the seven or eights we lived across the street from him I did enjoy very much talking to him and learning the history of the area where we lived after he was unable to drive would cross street and sit on porch and talk to. him about any old thing I will miss seeing him outside from time to time sitting on his porch even though he has left us it is good to know that he is no more pain and may even be driving his mustang again might even be restored
