



Jennifer Leigh Lunsford
Jennifer Leigh Lunsford, 30, passed away Monday, June 7th, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem after an extended illness.
Jennifer was born June 29, 1990 in Durham County to Michelle Jones Bagbey and Lynwood Lee Lunsford. She spent her early years at Hill Top Home in Raleigh and then lived the remainder of her life at Horizons Residential Care in Rural Hall, NC where she was affectionally known as “Queen”. She was very active in Special Olympics earning several medals.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 12:30 – 1:45 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service at 2:00 in the Sanctuary. This Celebration of Jennifer’s Life will be conducted by Rev. William Wheeler, Jr. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Surviving is her mother, Michelle Jones Bagbey of Roxboro; her father, Lynwood Lee Lunsford and step-mother, Shelly Lunsford of Ridgeway, VA; sister, Kathryn Blair Lunsford of Winston-Salem; half-brothers, Rob Stafford, Joshua Lunsford, Jeremy Lunsford, half- sister, Brittany Stafford; aunt, Debbie Jones Simonton, uncles, Dwight Jones (Diane), Wesley Jones( Lisa) and uncle, Dale Lunsford.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy and Ed Jones, Sherwood “Snook” and Birk Lunsford; step-father, Robert Bagbey and uncle Rickie Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jennifer’s name to Horizons Residential Care, 100 Horizons Lane, Rural Hall, NC 27045.

So sad to hear of Jennifer’s passing. My son, BJ, is also at Horizon’s/Arches. I will miss seeing Jennifer when visiting BJ. She was a special “Queen” and will be missed. Prayers and hugs to Jennifer’s family and to her Arches family.
