I will miss Kathryn. We have enjoyed many outings together. She will be missed by many. The pandemic kept me from seeing her this past year but prior to that she was a buddy and a pal to me and Eunice. God be with each of you during this time. Lots of prayers for the family. Love Barbara

Dear Family. My heart is broken. She was always my cheerleader. She was such a sweet soul. Always made me feel special but she was the special one and always will be in my heart. She loved my Tim too. I will have to tell you the story of the goat your dad and mom wanted me to take care of. They were a hoot. They loved everyone unconditionally. I will truly miss her. Rest In Peace my Sweet Kathryn.

Ronnie, Debra and all you children and grandchildren. I’m sorry for your loss. Kathryn was a wonderful friend one of those you love to be around. I remember the good times we had. When you all lived Butner. I have missed those days and really missed her since she retired. She was great lady and touched so many peoples lives. She will be missed. I know Bobby has already met her now it called the “Heavenly Shuffle” instead of 14th St. Love and prayers to you all. Carolyn

Kathryn will be so missed by so many. I will remember her “activities” career at BNRC especially the monthly bulletin boards that she and Margaret created faithfully. The residents at the facility were blessed to have her kindness and support whenever she was on duty. Continuing her caregiving nature, she managed the very difficult road of caring for her husband at home during his long illness….an angel for sure! I will remember her joy in baking & cooking for others, her love of cats, her excitement in going to the Daytona 500 every year with her family, and her love of the mountains. Rest in peace Kathryn!

Kathryn was a beautiful lady inside and outside. She was a friend and comfort to so many. Everyone who knew her was blessed by her. She set the bar so high as a child of God. She most surely was a good and faithful servant. Prayers of comfort are being sent to family by the many who knew her.

  • Cassandra “Casey” Champion Posted May 29, 2021 7:21 pm

Mama Briggs was an amazing woman. She always had a word of encouragement or often a word to bring you into a reality check. I strive to be half the woman that she was. She was a beautiful woman who always saw the good in others and she served her Lord faithfully and unfailingly. I send to the family words of comfort and encouragement through this difficult situation. May you know that she has recieved peace and comfort and shall watch over you all.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mrs. Briggs passing. I call her ‘Mrs. Briggs’ as that’s how I knew her when I was running the streets of Butner on my bike back in the ’60’s. She was always patient, polite and courteous..and she had that warm smile. They had a great crew up there at the post office, and she was a major reason. RIP Mrs. Briggs.
