Kathryn Warren Tucker
Kathryn Warren Tucker of Oxford, NC, passed away on February 18, 2021. She was born in Lenoir, NC. She leaves behind her bereaved children, parents, sister and many other family members and friends.
As a child in Granville County, she enjoyed nature, especially catching crayfish and lizards, and always looked forward to frog-gigging.
During her high school years, she was an integral part of Oxford Baptist Church. While at J. F. Webb High School, she experienced much happiness through her various band activities. In her senior year, she was the Drum Major and received the John Phillip Sousa Award. Her summers were spent as a life guard.
After high school, she attended East Carolina University. She then received her R.N. Degree from Vance Granville Community College.
She loved and cherished her children, Laura Grace and Riggan, spending countless hours reading to them.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her parents, Mike and Gail Warren of Oxford, NC; her sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Lee Harrell of Oxford, NC; her dear friend Powell Fox of Oxford; her former husband, Stephen Tucker of Robersonville, NC; her aunt Brenda Gardziel, of Woodbridge, VA as well as her niece and nephew and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her grandparents, Annie Laura and Dave Ashworth of Oxford and James and Katherine Warren of Oxford.
Unfortunately, the last several years of her life, she endured chronic illness, with much pain and agony. Now, as the free spirit she always was, she is able to fly again.

‘Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
For Death leaves a heartache
No one can heal,
And Love leaves a memory
No one can steal.’
Sending much love 🙏

Gail, Mike, and family My heart is so heavy for the loss of your daughter Kathy . I well remember her as a band member in the the Webb band as she and my son were classmates. She had such a sweet smile. I pray for God to show his love and Grace to you in the coming weeks and months,
Dear Warren Family,
Thinking of all you and wishing I was closer to give you big hugs, share tears and so many fond memories. Kathy was a very special friend with a infectious smile and had so much sparkle to add to everyone’s life she touched. I really wish I had caved when she called to talk me into to coming to our last HS reunion, I knew I would regret not going but could of never guessed how much. We did get to visit a few years ago in Vegas. We stayed up most of the night laughing and sharing crazy HS memories that no one else in the room understood or thought were nearly as funny as we did! I’m more grateful for that time with her than ever. Love you all.❤️🙏🏻

Our hearts are shattered for your loss. Kathy was a one in a million. She helped deliver my first son Devin. High School would not have been the same without her. The world is a much sadder place without her in it. Every memory I have of her puts a smile on my face.
Mike, Gail and the entire family. So sad to hear but we will all rejoice in having known her and her free spirit will live on. Praying for you all and I know she will always be with you.
Gail and Mike,
Memories flood back as I write this, remembering Kathy and her wonderful laugh, all the times I spent with you and your wonderful family. I hope it’s memories like mine and all the friends from Kathy’s life that can offer you some peace and understanding during these incoherent early days of loss. Love and hugs from our family to yours and know that Kathy was such a special and great part of each friend and life she touched.
Mike, Gail, Ashley and Family,
