
James “Jake” Robertson
James “Jake” Robertson, 95, a resident of Granville County passed away on February 4, 2021. He was born on March 5, 1925 in Earle Arkansas to the late Willie and Margaret Robertson.
Jake was a welder by trade and spent many years working at Shipyards and Oil Refineries. He was the oldest living member of Living Word Baptist Church in Creedmoor. He loved to garden. His love for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was always obvious.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2021 in the Peachtree Baptist Church Cemetery, 3523 NC 581, Springhope, NC 27882 by Pastor Mike Vaughan and Pastor Gene Whitehouse.
Surviving are two daughters, Frances Bunn (Bob), Margaret Abbott (Eddie); grandchildren, Robbie Bunn (Tammy), Kristi Bunn, Missy Whitfield (Tony), Jennifer Oakley (Michael Veasey), Eddie Abbott, Jr. (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Andrew, JR, Rosetta, Savannah, Georgia, Mary Hazel, Linnea, Georgi and great-great grandchildren, Anzley, Kylie and Clay; special friend, Frances Hutchens, one brother and two sisters.
He was predeceased by his parents and his wife of 63 years Hazel, two brothers and three sisters.

Margaret so sorry to hear of Mr. Jake’s passing. I remember coming to the ballgames cheering for his grandkids. Praying for yall.
I am so sorry to hear about my dear loves passing. I was in tears. He will surely be missed. There was not a day that went by that I did not think of him. He was such a sweet dear man. He will truly be missed
