
James Horner Wilkerson
James Horner Wilkerson, “Big Jim”, 82, of Granville County passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Granville Medical Center.
Jim was born December 8, 1938 in Stovall, North Carolina to the late Robert and Marie Wilkerson. In 1966 he married the love of his life, the late Andrea Dillehay Wilkerson. He attended Stovall Methodist church and above all he was a devoted friend to many and a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children: Derek Wilkerson and wife Kristian of Townsville and Jodie Perret-Gentil and husband Martin of Wake Forest; 3 grandchildren: Ashton and Olie Perret-Gentil of Wake Forest and Braxton Wilkerson of Townsville and his sister Rachel Parham and her husband Randolph of Oxford.
Due to Covid-19 related health restrictions, a private family service will be held at a future date.

Condolences to you and your family. Jim was a great friend. I will for sure miss our talks, breakfasts, and trips to the “Slopes”. Our thoughts and prayers are with y’all.

I first met Jim at Thorndale Country Club, when I was 12 years old. I remember his soft spoken ways, and his kindness! Thoughts & prayers to the family & his friends!!!!!

I am so sad to hear of Jim’s passing; I didn’t know until I saw Gabe’s post of his picture with Van. I valued the friendship had with your mom & dad and am so sorry to hear you have lost him. I have fine memories of our Christmas Eve visits with your family.

I’m so sorry I’m going to miss cleaning for him . And his smile he always had a smile on his face when we were cleaning.

Fine man. Came out to my farm on many occasions to help repair equipment. We need more like him.
