My prayers are with the Keith’s Family. Elbert was my supervisor with the state for many years.. Elbert was a great and funny guy. He kept me laughing. Elbert will be greatly missed. May God give the family peace and strength at this difficult time.
I’m so very sad to hear of Elbert’s passing. He was such a pleasure to work with during his Child Support days. He was so smart and had a fun wit about him. I found myself laughing or smiling in his presence a lot. Rest in peace my friend. Praying for his family.
My heart breaks for your dad and sisters. You will always be remembered for your gentle spirit and laugh. I will cherish the childhood memories that we shared. May you celebrate with the rest of the angels singing praises of our Savior. Til we meet again.
We are very saddened to learn of Elbert’s passing. The Keith family have always been good to us and we will always remember the kind words Elbert shared with us when we lost our daughter. Elbert was a strong presence and will be missed by his family and friends.
Elbert was in many of my classes at South Granville. He was a year younger but we often talked and shared time together in class. He was such a good guy and always had a heart for others. He proved that by his career choice in child services. I know all of his family will miss his kind spirit and jolly ways. Rest In Peace old friend. So thankful we reconnected on Facebook.
So sorry for your loss Uncle Cecil. God bless you and the rest of the family.

Good friend. We talked and enjoyed lunches daily for about a 20 year period. Sorry we lost touch after our retirements. I’ll miss you always.
So saddened by the loss of a dear friend. Elbert was a pleasure to work with for many years. He loved his family and was so proud of his nieces and nephew and I always enjoyed hearing about their lives. I will be holding all of you up to the light for many days to come.
Very sad of hearing the passing of Elbert. He was my Supervisor at CS, He was very kind, funny and sometimes you can hear him sing if you where in the hallways at work. He was a man of so much knowledge especially when it came to child support. A co-worker and myself gave him his retirement party with a beach theme we had it going on. I will always remember one of the last song he wanted to played…..take this job & shove it…we all laughed. He had a great sense of humor. There are more stories about him, but the best one is that he was a wonderful boss to me. Rest In Peace Elbert.
I am sorry for the passing of Elbert, he was one to always make you laugh. My prayer for Cecil,Agnes ,Laura and the rest of the family is that God will give you peace and understanding today and the days ahead. Sending lots of hugs and love to each of you.

I was so saddened to hear that Elbert had passed. We were coworkers in Child Support Services for many years. His knowledge of the financial aspects of the program was surpassed only by his wit and personality. He was one of a kind and my friend. My deepest sympathies to his family.
I enjoyed working with Elbert at CS … Sincere condolences to his family🕯
Rest in peace, dear friend. I shall truly miss you, as we have been friends since 5th grade.
My sympathies to Elbert’s family. I’ve worked on the technical support team for NC’s Child Support system for many years and worked with Elbert many times. His knowledge of the financial aspects of child support and its computer system always amazed me. Whenever there was some problem with a financial report, he could always tell us where to look for the problem and what to look for. I always appreciated his patience and guidance; he helped make my job easier.
Let me start by saying my heart is broken. My heart broken sympathies to Elbert’s family.
I am yet to come to terms with loss it has been to community and people who worked in Child Support system. You were walking encyclopedia. You have taught so many people how to solve problems. You are statistical person by heart. You could look at the numbers and tell the story. I am going to miss you so dearly. I am going to miss your deep knowledge, sense of humor AND long discussion on how to keep improving every day.
