Charles Noblin Newton Sr.
Charles Noblin Newton Sr., 85, of Granville County passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Duke Regional Hospital.
Charles was born in Granville County to the late Sherman Merritt Newton Sr. and Annie Laurie Barnette.
A public viewing will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Cindy Hicks (Marty) of Kittrell; two sons, Mark Newton (Lindy) of Creedmoor and Charles Newton Jr. of Creedmoor; a sister, Laurie Ann Newton of Butner; a brother, Bob Newton of Durham; two granddaughters; Brooke Glenn (Kyle) of Stem and Kate Newton of Southern Pines; two grandsons, Phillip Greyson Hicks (Jane) of Kittrell and Jonathan Newton of Chapel Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Faye Jenkins Newton and a brother Sherman Merritt Newton Jr.
A private graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor officiated by Reverend Stan Jenkins.
Flowers are accepted.
