Harvey Thomas “H.T.” Brame

 

Harvey Thomas “H.T.” Brame, 93, of Granville County passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at his home.

H.T. was born on October 11, 1927 in Vance County to the late Nathan Phillip Brame and Lola Faulkner. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Creedmoor. H.T. served two years in the U.S. Army from 1948-1950. After a year break from the Army he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951. He served in the Korean War and helped start the Chaumont Air Force Base in France where he was part of the 48th Fighter Bomber Wing, 492nd Fighter Bomber Squadron. He concluded his time in the Air Force in 1955. After his time in the military, H.T. worked as a Police Officer for the Oxford Police Department and then served as the Chief Deputy with the Granville County Sheriff’s Department for many years. In his later years he was a V.A. Security Officer.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Creedmoor Cemetery officiated by Reverend Eddie Mauldin and Reverend Eric Mann. You may access the graveside service by clicking on the following link:

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-nine years, Nellie Marie Cross Brame of the home; a daughter, Deborah S. Roberts (Tommy) of Creedmoor; three sons, Emmitt Thomas Brame (Debbie) of Suffolk, VA, Harvey G. Brame (Juanita) of Creedmoor and Michael P. Brame (Tammy) of Creedmoor; one sister, Shirley Clayborne; two brothers, Wallace Brame and Adrian Brame; four granddaughters, two grandsons, four great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Grace Poythress and Judy Breedlove and two brothers, Edgar Brame and Bobby Brame.

The family will be accepting visitors at the Brame home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Creedmoor P.O. Box 38, Creedmoor, NC 27522.

Eakes Funeral Home will be following social distancing guidelines and asks that all in attendance please wear a mask or appropriate face covering.
