Martin Luther “Jack” Reames


Martin Luther “Jack” Reames, 83, of Granville County passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Senior Citizens Home in Henderson, NC.

Jack was born in Granville County to the late Calvin Reames and Mattie Wilson. He retired from Burlington Mills as a mechanic after 35 years of service. Jack was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church most of his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, April Buchanan of Ft. Royal, VA; three grandchildren, Brandon Reams, Kady Buchanan, and Melissa Hunter; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Williamson, Edith Branch, and Ada Matthews; one brother, Joe Reams and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Reams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Reames; two sons, Barry Reames and Mike Reames; one sister, Catherine Clayborne and two brothers, Russell Reams and Calvin Reames Jr.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Tungsten Baptist Church by Reverend Sam Brewer. You may access the graveside service by clicking on the following link:

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Tungsten Baptist Church at 4944 Tungsten Mine Rd., Henderson, NC 27536

    I have not seen Jack in years! We used to visit when we were children. His Mom, Mattie, and I were first cousins. I send my sympathy and prayers to all the family!
