Roger Lee Gibson

 

Roger Lee Gibson, 54, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at his home.

A native of Raleigh County, West Virginia he was the son of the late Charles Raymond Gibson and Carol Hood Gibson. He was of the Baptist faith and was a traffic specialist in road construction for many years.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem by the Rev. David Richardson. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.You may access the graveside service by clicking on the following link:

Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Jenny Gibson of the home; his children, David Richardson (Becky) of stem, Chris Richardson (Jordan) of Creedmoor, Leandra Avancini (Chris) of Beckley, WV, Nick Avancini of Stem; one sister Renee Green (Dave) of Stem and many loving grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Penny Birchfield and a brother, Eddie Gibson.

    There was no one on this earth like my Baby Brother. I loved him so much and just not sure how to go on without him. I know beyound a doubt he loved me just as much. We have always been there for each other. Baby Brother we still have unfinished business and I promise to make sure your wishes are taken care of. Rest Easy Baby Brother. Sis
