Robert Lee King “Ned”
Robert Lee King “Ned” 86, was taken home by his Lord September 19, 2020, he passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with cancer.
He was the son of the late Edward King and Meta Brodgen. He was a native of Granville County. Ned graduated from Stem High School and served in the United States Army.
Ned is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lurline Goss King; a daughter, Carolyn Currin (Joby), their son Aaron Currin (Jordan) and son Tucker, their daughter April Dixon (Seth) and daughters Keirra, Kaelyn and Kinsley; two sons, Ronnie King (Teresa) and their son Talon, and Danny King (Shirley) and their daughter Shannon Abbott (Eddie) and their children Kylie and Clay; a son Danny King Jr. (Amanda) and their children, Alyssa, Abigail and Danny Ray King III. Ned is also survived by a sister, Mattie Riggan “Polly” of Butner. Ned is preceded in death by his three brothers, William, Jacob and Buck King.
A loving thank you to Kindred Hospice and many friends and family that have made this situation less difficult.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a brief visitation prior to the graveside service at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
