

Kathryn S. Emory
Kathryn S. Emory, 69, passed from this life into the next on Wednesday August 26, 2020 at Granville Medical Center.
Kathy was born January 31, 1951 in Fremont (Wayne County), NC to the late Joseph Stuckey and Elga Mozingo. She moved to Durham in the early 70’s, and settled down shortly after in Creedmoor. Whether it was being a Sunday School teacher, band parent, or substitute teacher, most of her life was devoted to loving and caring for children. She enjoyed, and was known for, making peanut butter balls, and taking her daughters’ friends to Pizza Inn in Durham after church service on Sundays. She was of the Christian faith and loved being able to serve in the churches she attended.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eddie Wayne Emory; two daughters, Kelly Jones (Clint) of Creedmoor, Erin Emory of Stem; six grandchildren, Tyler, Levi, Garrett, Hayley, Marshall, and Sam of Creedmoor; two sisters, Beth Stuckey and Jacque Grady; one brother Tony Stuckey and numerous extended family members, in laws, nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens by Reverend Al Sholar.
In lieu of flowers please donate to one of the local schools or a favorite teacher.
