Jerry Wayne Jackson
Jerry Wayne Jackson, 72, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at his home.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Tillman Everett Jackson and Eugenia Averette. He retired as an Assistant Director with Butner Public Safety after 16 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, daddy and granddaddy and cherished his time with his family.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Reverend Norma Roberts at 2:00 PM.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-nine years, Susan Lathan Jackson; a daughter, Stacy Jackson Honeycutt (Bryan) of Oxford; a son, Wayne Everette Jackson (Kim) of Oxford; three grandchildren, Krystal Parrish, Daniel Honeycutt and Thomas Honeycutt; a sister, Diane Currin (Jamie) of Stem; three brothers, Larry Jackson (Peggy) of Stem, Donnie Jackson of Butner, and Ricky Jackson (Tammy) of Stem; a sister-in-law, Margaret Lathan of Charlotte and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Jackson.

At Jerry’s request, please omit flowers and donations may be made to VFW Post 10777, P.O. Box 328, Butner, NC 27509 or to Wake Forest Purple Heart Foundation, P.O. Box 168, Wake Forest, NC 27588.
Eakes Funeral Home will be observing social distancing for all services and asks everyone in attendance to wear a mask.
