To Kathy, Gloria and Diana and Douglas whom I didn’t know very well..I just happened to pull the obituaries for Eakes to read the one for Owen Roberts only to see another familiar name from the Tar River neighborhood when I read the name Dorothy Boyd. As if death isn’t hard enough by itself, I know all the issues with the Covid virus makes it even more difficult. So sorry you all are having to go through it for your mom at this time. As a long lost neighbor from years gone by, I just wanted to offer condolences and reach out the only way I knew how….through this post. This is Janice Dickerson, now Janice Gilliam and I currently live in Louisburg. I truly hope you all are doing well and with time along with all your sweet memories of your mom the sadness will quickly be replaced with just those sweet memories. Thinking of you all. Take care.

Janice, thank you for remembering our family during this time. This has been a difficult journey for our family. You and I were classmates from grades 1-12. Again thank you for your condolences
