Carl Edward Cooke

 

Carl Edward Cooke, 84, a lifetime resident of Granville County, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his home.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Ernest Henry Cooke Sr. and Myrtle Lee Adcock. He was a member of Stovall Baptist Church and was a retired plant supervisor at Burlington Mills in Oxford and was a lifetime farmer.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Carolyn Sharon Cooke; four daughters, Donna Cooke Murray of Oxford, Brenda Cooke Elliott (Paul) of Tennessee, Joyce Cooke Cole (Larry) Of Kittrell, and Wanda Cooke Sizemore (Tim) of Bullock; three sons, Carl Michael Cooke (Lesia) of Oxford, Darryl Ray Cooke (Jackie) of Oxford and Claude Wade Cooke of Oxford; three brothers, Ernest Henry Cooke Jr., Bobby Bradsher Cooke, and Jerry Thomas Cooke all of Oxford; sixteen grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Lunsford and two brothers Clyde Cooke and Donald Cooke.
