Marvin Ray Elliott

 

Marvin Ray Elliott, 90, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Friday, May, 29, 2020 at Pruitt Healthcare in Durham.

He was born March 6, 1930 in Granville County to the late, James William Elliott and Mary Moss Elliott. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Oxford and retired from the grocery store business.

A private graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday June 1, 2020 at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem by Rev. Cecil Newton. You may access the funeral service by clicking on the following link:

He is survived by three sons, Garry Elliott, (Alice) of Creedmoor, Rodney Elliott of Wilton, Marvin Elliott, Jr. (Robin) of Oxford; a sister, Flora Tingen and two brothers, Walter Elliott, Clyde Elliott (Lorene) and sister-in-law, Lorene all of Roxboro; six grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and two, great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wives, Mildred Newton Elliott and Lyla Dillehay Elliott.

    Papa, you will be greatly missed. I could not have been blessed with a kinder Father-In-Law. Thank you for your advice on so many occasions .
