














Charles Lewis Pleasant
Charles Lewis Pleasant, a lifelong Granville County resident passed away on May 5, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born in Wake County, NC on March 6, 1942 to the late Vivian Page Pleasant and the late Jerry Mar Pleasant. Charles retired from Bargain Furniture with over 30 years as a Manager. He was of Baptist faith, a loving husband, father, “granddaddy” and a great friend to all.
In addition to his wife Brenda Pleasant of 58 years, Charles Pleasant is survived by his children, Lisa Parrott (Lanny), Kim Malugen (Chris) and Mike Pleasant (April), 10 precious grandchildren; Misty, Chris, Ashley, Katrina, Krista, Allie, Hannah, Gavin, Scarlett, Grayson and 13 precious great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Reba Wester, Mazel Bordeaux, Edward Pleasant and Gayland Pleasant.
Charles was a dedicated NC State Fan for over 60 years, a well respected coach and mentor for many years. He loved his time in Surf City with his best friend and wife Brenda surrounded by their family and friends and his dog Max.
Graveside services will be at a later date.

Lisa Kim and Mike I am sorry for your loss. I remember Charles coaching Mike in little league and pony league baseball. He was quite a character.

My heart goes out to the family and my sister. Charles was her soulmate, her lifelong partner. Brenda and Charles were two peas in a pod. Charles you will surely be missed by many. You never met a stranger. You were the best brother-in-law. RIP Much love to Lisa, Kim, Mike.
