




Earl Louis Towers
Earl Louis Towers, 74, a resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
A native of Lincoln County Maine, he was the son of the late Louis Towers and Alice Robbins Towers. He was an active member of Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church. Earl retired after many years as a truck driver for Swift Trucking.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Bruce Brooks. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Sophia Towers, Sydney Towers and grandson, Michael Cox, all of Oxford; two sisters, and special family members, Harold and Betty Puckett of Oxford. He was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Visitation will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church from 12:30 – 1:45 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2020, and at other times at the home of Harold and Betty Puckett.
Memorials may be made to Peace’s Chapel Baptist Church, 4044 Fairport Rd., Kittrell, NC 27544.
