


Agatha Minola Green Cornell
Agatha Minola Green Cornell, 87, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away peacefully Saturday, January 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late John William Green and Sibyl Gregory Green. She was a member of Gospel Church in Durham for 38 years and was a textile worker and a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Chad Cornell. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.
Surviving are four daughters, Lynn Cornell Medlin of Creedmoor, Susie New of Roxboro, Dollie Stafford of Kittrell, June Clevenger (Rick) of Wake Forest, two sons, Billy Cornell (Deborah) of Henderson, Terry Cornell of Oxford; four sisters, Eva G. Barker, Betty G. Myers, Lora G. Blair all of Providence, Roxie G. Burgess of Danville, VA. She was a sweet loving grandmother to her 29 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Junius Arnold Cornell; a son, Steve Cornell; brothers, Ray Green, JW Green and a sister, Jane Compton.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening January 7, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home of June Clevenger.

We were cousins although she was much older than I. I’m so sorry for your loss.Your family has endured many losses this pass year .You and your family are in my prayers .
