Willie Lou Evans Cole

 

Willie Lou Evans Cole, 88, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Granville Medical Center.

A native of Granville County, She was the daughter of the late Willie Knight Evans and Nannie Duke. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Tally Ho Baptist Church. She was the oldest of ten children, Worked at Oxford Manor Nursing Home for several years and also worked at Andrews Nursing Home for a short while. She was a loving wife to Willie Morris Cole for 69 years.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2:00PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor by Reverend Eddie Nutt and Reverend Robert Oliver. Burial will be in Bullock Family Cemetery in Stem.

Surviving are her daughter Bonnie Hernandez (Elias) of Franklinton, a son; Lonnie Cole Sr. of Stem, two sisters; Naomi Brogden of Oxford, Sarah Oakley of Oxford, a brother; Herbert Evans of Northside, a granddaughter ; Bailee O’Briant, three grandsons, Lonnie Cole Jr., Robert Cole, Ethan Hernandez and great-grandson Alex Cole and great-granddaughter Zoe Cole. She was preceded in death by a son; Tommie Lee Cole and siblings Bud Evans, Nelson Evans, Roy Evans, Bill Evans, Jimmy Evans and Dale Ramsey.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:45 PM prior to the service at the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor.

    Praying for you all. She was an amazing lady and she was the best mother in law that I could of ever ask for in 21 years. So many memories to cherish especially with Robert and Lonnie jr❤️I will always have a a special place in my heart forever❤️Praying for the family..GOD BLESS🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    I am so sorry to hear about Mrs Cole. She was always the kindest lady I knew and God had received another angel. The Cole family will always have a special place in my heart and will be in my prayers.
