Margie “Mae” Harris White, 92, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by family
A longtime resident of Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Louis Taylor Harris Sr. and Bertha Mae Turner Harris. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First Pentecostal Church in Durham and was a retired investigator for GTE.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Gray Rock Methodist Church by Rev. David Edwards. Burial will be in Gray Rock Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow in church fellowship hall.
Surviving are a son, Eddie Warren White (Barbara) of Creedmoor, her grandchildren who were the love of her life, Gina Byrd (Roger), Robin Midyette (Michael), Dana Edwards(David) , all of Creedmoor, seven great grandchildren, Morgan, Macy, Ty, Hope, Christian, Shayne and London.
She was preceded in death by her husband E.W. White, a sister, Esther Lovell. brothers, L.T. Harris, Paul Harris, Sam Harris and William (Blue) Harris.
Christmas was her favorite season. In honor of her, poinsettia flowers are the “tribute” flower of choice.

Sis Mae attended our church, FPC of Durham for years and brought her friend Sis Nellie Higgs. Both of these sweet ladies have gone on to their reward. Sis Mae has a heart of gold And will be dearly missed. Prayers in Jesus Name for her family they will be comforted by His Love Sis Jane

A Great lady and a Godly woman who was an example to all she met. She was a feverent prayer warrior. You will be greatly missed Mae. Y all who knew and loved you. You fought a good fight and won the battle and are now where you longed to be.
Mae and I had lots of conversations about the Lord. She lived her life so she would be ready when the time came. I love her(cousin) and will miss her.
The family wii surely miss grandma!!!! She was a very happy person who was loved very much by anyone who new her !!! She will be surely missed!!! Love an prayers to the family!!!
