

Constance Zimmerman Baker
Constance Zimmerman Baker, 57, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her home.
A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Virginia Zimmerman. She was of the Catholic faith and was a nurse at Maria Parham Hospital for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor. Burial will be in the Keith Family Cemetery in Wake Forest.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Michael D. Baker, of the home, three daughters, Sarah Dockum of Creedmoor, Tiffany Lyle (Jimmy) of Knightdale, Shelly Baker of Franklinton, a son, Michael Baker of Youngsville, six sisters, two brothers and seven grandchildren, Christian, Kaylee, Cheyenne, Hannah, Lilia, Isabella and Oliver. She was predeceased in death by a sister Sandra Royalty.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 1, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.

I was so sad when I heard the news of Connie’s passing. She was a sweet person, a great nurse, and a great friend. Connie loved her family and truly enjoyed being a grandma. She will be missed by many. My condolences to Mike and her entire family.

My heart goes out to the family of Connie, she was an amazing person with a smile that could brighten any room. I thank God that I had the pleasure to meet and work with her. She will be greatly missed. I would like the family to remember that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Shes in good hands.
Connie was a true friend. I will always remember her laughing. The world has lost a true angel of mercy.
